Sponsorship
The FRP consortium was initiated at
the
University of Calgary and Queen's University in
late 1994 and currently receives funding from 18 Industry Sponsors:
A substantial 3-year Collaborative Research
and
Development Grant from the Natural
Science and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC) was
awarded in
April 1995.
FRP sponsorship fees are CDN$20,000 per
year with an
initial one-time joining fee of CDN$5,000.
Benefits to sponsors include:
- direct access to leading edge research
in fold and thrust belts
- interaction with graduate students and
research personnel
- annual Research Reports
- attendance at the Annual Sponsors'
Meeting
- access to project data including
physical structural models, numerical and physical seismic model data
- tutorials and field trips related to FRP
objectives
